Chief Minister Digambar Kamat expressed confidence regarding the success of the India-Australia ODI on Sunday.
The CM who made his presence felt at Nehru Stadium and reviewed security arrangements and ground conditions.
Kamat was accompanied by Director General of Police, B S Bassi and police top brass.
Speaking to the media, Kamat stated that no CISF personnel will be deployed for the event as the Home Ministry has sent the force for the Bihar elections. “I think there would be a match tomorrow with God’s grace. I have reviewed the security arrangement along with the DIG and everything appears to be good. As far as the CISF personnel are concerned, they have been deployed for Bihar elections and thereby, will not be available for tomorrow’s game.” However, the Quick Response Team and the Indian Armed Force will be roped in for the match.
