Nerul mounted tremendous pressure on the rival goal but could not score. A shot taken by Sidanth was well saved by Cortalim keeper and as it remained goalless at the lemon break.
Crossing over Cortalim Villagers put up a better performance with the forwards unleashing a couple of pot shots against the rival goal, but could not score as the second session continued in the same vein.
In the ensuring penalty shootout for Cortalim Villagers Rostan, Jhonny, Jordan and Richard were on target but Macker Dias shot was saved by theNerul keeper. Paul and Deepraj found the mark for Nerul while Sainat shot wide and Sidanth shot was saved by the Cortalim keeper Jonny Vaz.
The winners will meet Maina Sports Club Curtorim in the Semi finals on November 5.
