PANJIM: Goa Velha Sports Club came from behind to hold Clube Sao Minguel De Taleigao to a 1-1 draw in the Geno First Division League organised by Goa Football Association, played at Artificial Turf, Fatorda, on Wednesday.
The both teams played out an equal game and had their share of chances of scoring. But the sides lacked finishing as both teams headed into half goalless.
On changing sides, the Taleigao team came all out in search of a goal and they were able to shoot into the lead through Niraj Shirodkar who swiftly netted the goal past a blank Goa Velha defence in the 58th minute.
The Goa Velha side came all out in search of an equalizer and finally levelled things up through Francis Fernandes in the 88th minute as both sides shared points.
