The Curchorem RCC team defeated Mangalore XI to win the Patrakar Vikas trophy in the 20-20 cricket tournament organised by Sanguem-Quepem Patrakar Sangh and Curchorem Yuva Vikas Sanghatana at government complex, Curchorem on Wednesday. In all, six teams participated in the tournament.
In the finals, Curchorem RCC scored 162 runs in 20 overs losing for 8. Mangalore could only score 100 for all out.
Curchorem PI Nilesh Rane, president of Sanguem-Quepem Patrakar Sangh, Prahas Sanvordekar, JE of Electricity Department Anil Gaonkar, journalist Mangaldas Bhat and coach Ravi Dessai were present at the prize-distribution ceremony.
