DBO edge past Ambelim

Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda scraped out a narrow 1-0 win over Ambelim SC to move into the second round of All-Goa Romeo memorial football tournament at Santa Cruz ground on Thursday.
The first half saw DBO dominating and going into the lead in the 4th minute off a free kick by Rozer Azavedo, which hit the inside of the bar and entered the net.
DBO should have swelled the lead in the second half, but on one occasion the Ambelim keeper fisted away a goalbound shot and then another try by a DBO forward missed the mark by a whisker.
