ORLIM: Dessonaik edged past Candelem 3-2 to clinch the Orlim Panchayat inter-ward football cup organised by United Club of Orlim, at Orlim Church ground, on Wednesday.
Candelem took the lead through spot-kick converted by Alister after Xavier handled the ball inside the box.
Minutes later, Mac equalised for Dessonaik. Alister made it 2-1 for Candelem just before the break.
Changing over, Dessonaik levelled 2-2 through Melbourn while Xavier scored the match-winner for Dessonaik.
Tamica Rosa, Sarpanch of Village Panchayat Orlim was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of other dignitaries.
