Don Bosco started in the right earnest and took the lead in the 26th as Anslemo Furtado gave finishing touches to an assist from Miguel Barretto.
However, Ambelim regrouped and marched forward. They turned in the equalizer in the second half through a header by Neil Cardoza off a cross by Savio Quadros.
Don Bosco did not give up and bounced back with the second goal in the 51st minute through Anslem Furtado’s scorching long ranger.
On Friday, Navelim Villagers Union defeated Chandor Sports Club 2-0 to move into the semi-finals.
At lemon time the scores remained blank. In the 20th minute Chandor’s Johnson Fernandes’ header missed the target off a supply by Ivon Pinto.
After resumption, Navelim Villagers dominated the proceedings with strikers trying to score and a quick move in the 40th minute through Jaison Pereira’s solo effort saw the latter unleash a scorching long ranger for the opener.
Two minutes later, Navelim scored again through Alvito Colaco.
