CALANGUTE: Dunes Sports Club blanked PVC Association, Parra 2-1 to move into the quarter-finals of Shri Gajanath Kamat Babholkar memorial All Goa inter-village football tournament organised by Chapora Yuvak Sangh, at Chapora ground, on Wednesday.
Dunes Sports Club began the match on an attacking note and took the lead in the 18th minute of play through Sylvester Dias.
Trailing by a goal, PVC Association went all out in search of an equaliser but their forwards failed to find the net. Shashank Ashvekar doubled the lead for Dunes Sports Club in the 28th minute.
Changing over, PVC Association pulled one back in the 35th minute of play through Vasant Gadekar. PVC Association tried hard to secure the equaliser but Dunes Sports Club defence stood its ground.
