PANJIM: Friends Sporting Club, Corlim defeated Unity High School, Valpoi 5-4 via the tie-breaker in an under-14 football exhibition match on the concluding day of the 1st-ever Grassroots Football Summer Coaching Camp at Carambolim panchayat ground, Carambolim. The teams were level 1-1 at full time.
In the veterans match, Amanda Sporting Veterans, Panjim defeated Quepem Veterans 5-3 via the tie-breaker after the teams played a 1-1 draw. Quepem Veterans went 1-0 up through Jerry Colaco off Arthur Fernandes. Augusto Pereira equalized.
