Guardian Angel High School, Curchorem and Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda booked their places in the finals of the Subroto U-14 South Zone inter-school football tournament at Rosary ground, Navelim.
Guardian Angel recorded a 3-2 tie-breaker win over Mormugao champs Regina Mundi of Chicalim. Stromberg Vales gave the lead to Regina Mundi while Deswif Fernandes equalised for Guardian Angel. In the tie-breaker, Vilffy Fernandes and Mukhtar Pathan scored for Guardian Angel while only Aaron Rodrigues scored for Regina Mundi.
Later, Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda scored an emphatic 4-0 win over St. Mary’s High School, Ponda. In a one sided affair, Aldrich Araujo scored a brace while Sher Dhami and Sachin Patil scored one goal each for the winners.
