RAIA: Guardian Angel Sports Club advanced to the quarter-finals of the Late Fr Gervasio Pinto Memorial Cup 2025, defeating Betalbatim Sports Club in a commanding display at the Figueiredo ground, Pontemoll-Curchorem, on Wednesday.
Guardian Angel took the lead early in the match through Alton Vaz before Richard Costa produced a stellar performance, netting a brace with goals in the 8th, 22nd and 50th minutes respectively. Costa’s attacking prowess left Betalbatim struggling to contain the relentless pressure.
Betalbatim’s Thanks Dickson missed a crucial chance to score in the 56th minute, which could have altered the course of the game.
Richard Costa of Guardian Angel SC was named man-of-the-match and received the award at the hands of Anthony Fernandes.
