Both the teams played almost on equal footing, but it was Milagres SC’s Sapnesh Gaonkar who caught the opponents defense napping where he dribbled inside the danger zone and beat the onrushing keeper to score with a neat placement, 1-0.
However, Guirim lads regrouped themselves and scored two quick goals through Preet Pavar (37th min) and Chandan Govenkar (40th min).
On crossing over, Guirim colts pumped in two more goals through Saish Palyekar and Preet Pavar, 4-1.
However, Edwin Viegas managed to pull the second goal for Milagres from outside the penalty box.
Before the final whistle, Guirim fired the fifth goal through Saish Palyekar to round off the score tally to 5-2.
At Nachinola ground, Kelbai SC managed to hold Sinquerim SC to a 2-2 draw. It was an inconsequential match as both the teams standing sixth and seventh position had failed to qualify.
