After going a goal behind, Koko Sakibo netted a second half hat-trick to give Vasco Sports Club the title as they defeated BG Pune 3-1 in the finals of SDS invitational football tournament in Bhopal on Saturday.
After coming back from suspension, Koko produced the goods when mattered most and not only helped Vasco to win, but also walked away with the man-of-the match and man- of-the tournament awards.
“I took a squad of only 16 players as four players are with the National Games Goa team, but every player in the squad played their part well, which is extremely satisfying,” remarked Vasco coach Gavin Araujo.
