RAIA: Loyola High School, Margao defeated Mae Dos Pobres High School, Nuvem 4-0 and moved into the quarter-finals of the Fr Peter SVD Memorial football tournament, played at SVD Ashram ground, Damon, Raia, on Thursday.
Dishan Dias scored the first goal for the Margao school in the eleventh minute before Flyn Crasto doubled the lead in the 15th minute.
Dishan Dias was instrumental in Loyalo’s big win as he provided two assists which saw Rui Noronha and Delbert score in the 36th and 39th minutes to make it 4-0. Dishan Dias walked away with the Man-of-the-Match award.
In another match, St Jude High School, Betalbatim went down fighting against Our Lady of Health High School, Cuncolim 1 -0.
Rahul Rodrigues scored the match-winner in the second minute of the game. He was also awarded the Man-of-the-Match award.
In another match, Our Lady of Rosary High School Fatorda defeated Saviour of the World High School, Loutolim 3-0.
The winners totally dominated the match and didn’t allow their opponents to settle in the game.
The scorers of the match were Man-of-the-Match Beckham Dias, Sydney Dias and Michael Dias.
