Mahesh Shetti bags 1st place in river crossing

Mahesh Shetti, 7, of Maharashtra bagged the first place in a state-level Mandovi river crossing competition organised by Vista do Rio Resort, Porvorim at Ribandar, Patto on the occasion of its completing 10 years in the hospitality industry.
Gourish Arun Shetty, 9, of Karnataka stood second while Shounak Karapurkar aged 6 of Goa occupied the third place. Swimmers from Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka participated in the event coordinated by Loretto Cardozo from the Shiny people group.
The winners were awarded trophies and certificates. Rudolf Fernandes, was the chief guest while Ribandar corporator Rupesh Haldankar and John Lobo, president, CDI Club, Ribandar, were the guests of honour.
