Maina Friends Circle beat All Friends, Curtorim 4-3 via sudden death in Fr. Gervasio Pinto memorial football tournament organised by Angel Boys of Curchorem at Figueiredo ground, Curchorem on Sunday. The teams were locked in a goalless draw at full time.
After change of ends, Maina missed an open goal when a shot from Shamba Kurtikar went straight in the hands of keeper Oswin Rodrigues of Curtorim.
In the sudden death, Tony Dias, Oswin Rodriguese and Diago Dias scored for All Friends while Alex Mascarenhas, Brendon Fernandes, Leroy Vaz and Melbon Gonsalves netted for Friends Circle.
Meanwhile, Star Boys of Quepem defeated Rosary Youth, Davorlim 2-0 on Saturday.
In the very 3rd minute Jovin Fernandes converted a corner kick and opened the account for Star Boys. In the 10th minute, Alan Rodriguese doubled the score.
Rosary Youth made a couple of attempts to score but to their bad luck did not manage to shoot on target. Joseph Fernandes of Quepem got the red card.
In another match, Chris Boys got the better of Rebello Pandels, Maina via the tie-breker 4-2. The teams were goalless at the end of regular time.
