Goa will participate in 9th girls U-19 Junior National Football Championship in Chandigarh from July 15 to 30.
The team: Astrid Savia Pereira, Angel Braganza, Cassandra Fernandes, Malvita Mascarenhas, Mayola Fernandes, Nagma Shaikh, Hezal Dias, Stessi Cardoza, Michel Margaret Casthanha, Ayesha Alvares, Ageema Rodrigues, Hazel Dias, Zenya Twinkle Fernandes, Jessy D’Costa, Anet Mascarenhas, Manjula Hullikeri, Avril Antao, Melisa Pereira, Velini Rodrigues and Valerie Carvalho.

Goa will kick off their campaign against Himachal Pradesh on July 15. They will face Sikkim on 17 and their final group match will be against Kerala on July 19.
Speaking to Our Mapusa Sports Reporter, Goa U-19 coach Maymol Rocky said, “We have a talented group of girls and I know they will give a good account of themselves at the tournament.”
The group has been involved in a training camp together since June 7 at Verna ground after being put through a three-day trial. Orissa had won the last two editions, but Manipur hold the record of five championships, winning consecutively between 2002 and 2006.
