MAPUSA: Milagres Sports Club rallied to beat PVC Parra 2-1 and move into the quarter-finals of 7th Reira Trophy football organized by Saligao Sporting Club at Saligao ground, Thursday. Parra led 1-0 at half time.
The teams started on a bright note. Parra broke the deadlock in the 21st minute through Rohit Pinto when his powerful shot beat the rival goalkeeper for the opener.
After the resumption, Milagres came back strongly in search of the equalizer and leveled the scores in the 37th minute trough striker Krishan Chougle’s adroit placement.
Milagres dominated the final quarter and found the match-winner in the 47th minute through Noel Viegas’ strike.
