Mohun Bagan scored a 2-0 win over Mumbai FC in a Round VI I-League match at Yuba Bharati Krirangan stadium here today, but not before being tested by the inexperienced side.
Subair Muritala Ali (45+1st) and Ashim Biswas (79th) struck in each half to help Mohun Bagan pick their second consecutive win.
The three points helped Mohun Bagan improve their position in the standings with eight points from six matches while the Mumbai outfit remained on nine points from as many outings.
In another match, AIFF XI registered their second win on the trot defeating HAL 2-1 at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium, here.
While Malswamfela opened the accounts for the AIFF XI in the first half, midfielder Bikramjeet Singh doubled the lead before HAL striker R C Prakash notched up a consolation goal scoring from the spot.
