PANJIM: United Club of Nerul thumped Merces Sports Club 5-1 to storm into the final to clash with ICSC in Mardol Cup Soccer organized by United Club of Mardol at Mardol ground, on Friday. The teams were locked 1-1 at half time.
Merces took the early lead through Jayendra Kunkolienkar but Manuel Crasto equalized just before the lemon break. Changing over, Merces were no match to Nerul’s attacking stratergies which saw them take the lead through Manuel’s brace. Then, Rajat Chopdekar made it 3-1 while Sanket Jotkar pumped in a quick brace.
