In the 11th minute, Cunchelim went ahead through a delightful strike by Omkar Sawant, who received a clever through ball from Raju Poulekar. Soon, they doubled their advantage when Sankalp Korgaonkar took advantage of a terrible mix up in the Assonora defence and scored past a hapless Assonora keeper.
Changing over, Assonora reduced the margin through Prajyot Arabekar while Cunchelim’s Omkar scored his brace in the 64th min to make 3-1.
Assonora kept the fight going and in the 79th minute Prajyot scored his second goal off a goal mouth melee. Assonora pressed hard for the equaliser and were successful through Prajyot, who earned his hat-trick.
