PANJIM: Priority Titans won a thrilling encounter by 1-wicket and 4 balls to spare against the DNS–VMJs Rookies in the 7th edition of Rajdeep Builders Sarsangan Super Series Cricket 2024-25 played at Arlem cricket ground, recently.
In the second match, Desserts n More Avengers got the better of 108 Delite Titans by 6 wickets and 19 balls to spare.
Put in to bat, the Rookies put on 141-9 with contributions from Sukrut Pai 18, Rajaram Kundaikar 21, Eeshan Kamat 35, Sahil Neurenkar 19 and Vibhav Pai 14. For the Titans, Sunil Salgaonkar with figures of 4-11 was a standout performance and was supported by Amith Kamat 2-25, Gururaj Bale 1-11 and Animesh Prabhugaonkar 1-20.
In reply, the Priority Titans were given a good start by Deval Karmali 23, Granthik Buyao 28, Amith Kamat 21 and Rauji Kakodkar 17. However Sanat Kamat picked 3 crucial wickets to get the Rookies back into the match as the Titans slid to 116-8 in 15 overs. Animesh Prabhugaonkar 26 and Gururaj Bale 11 not out took the Titans to a nail biting win as they reached the target making 143-9 with 4 balls to spare. For the Rookies, Sanat Kamat with 3-29 received support from Ved Mahambre 2-24, Balkrishna Hodarkar 1-9, Rupesh Kossambe 1-14 and Sukrut Pai 1-17.
In another match, electing to bat first, 108 Delite Titans put on 146-9 thanks to contributions from the skipper Viraj Puranik making 37, Sudhir Kenkre 13, Nikhil Virginkar 12, Avinash Kossambe 26, Ashay Ambe 26 and Krishnakant Hegde Desai 10. For the Avengers, their captain Siddhesh Prabhu Alvencar led the attack with figures of 3-17 and was assisted by Vaibhav Kadkade 2-15, Nimay Kamat 2-19, Sarin Kane 1-11 and Shridhar Keni 2-19.
In reply, Desserts n More Avengers started in attacking fashion with the openers Sachin Bhandare 37 and Sanat Prabhudesai 35 putting on 55 in 29 balls. Vaibhav Kadkade 15, Pramey Prabhu 12 not out and Siddesh Prabhu Alvencar 25 not out completed the formalities to take the Avengers home with a crushing win as they reached the target making 147-4 with 19 balls to spare. Krishanakant Hegde Desai 2-22 and Amogh Agshikar 2-33 were the successful bowlers.
