RAIA: Raia Sporting Club booked the place in final of 1st Vauradencho Ixtt Trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Margao Sports Club in association with Batora United Club, defeating Guardian Angel SC, Curchorem, 2-0, in the semi-final played at the DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Monday.
Swidon Barbosa scored a brace in the 17th and 34th minute for Raia Sporting Club. Raia Sporting Club will now face Fr Agnelo YSC, Paroda, in the final to be played on February 16.
108 Ambulance Senior Executive Joseph Mathew was the chief guest and gave away the man-of-match to Swindon Barbosa of Raia Sporting Club.
