SHIRODA: Ratnadeep Sports Club, Tarvalem Shiroda and Antruz XI, Ponda have won their first matches in the Dr Gopinath Prabhu Sawarkar trophy, All Goa cricket tournament organised by Tarvalem Sports Club.

In the inaugural match, Ratnadeep defeated Vijaya Cricket Club by 70 runs. Ratnadeep scored 183 for the loss of 4 wickets in 18 overs (Kiran Naik 71, Saideep Govekar 63, Pratik Kavlekar 20).
While defending, Ratnadeep bowled Vijaya SC out for 113 runs in 16 overs (Gautam Kavlekar 2 wickets, Sudin Shirodkar and Kiran Naik 1 wickets each). Kiran Naik was awarded the man-of-the-match for his all round performance.
In the second match, Antruz XI defeated Tiger Boys by 103 runs. Antruz posted 170 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 18 overs (Pratham Kossambe 67, Rajkiran Rathod 29, Prashil Kamat and Gaurish Lotlikar 25 runs each).
Antruz bowled Tiger Boys out for 67 runs in 11 overs (Prathamesh Kunkalikar 15 runs, Akshay 5 wickets, Pradip, Rajkiran, Vishal 1 wicket each).
