MAPUSA/RAIA: Calangute Association registered a thumping 10-0 win over Patrong SC in the 8th Goa Football Association-Vedanta Women’s Football League match played at Poriat ground, Calangute, on Friday.
It was Alcia Fernandes who opened the floodgates for Calangute Association scoring in the 20th minute of play. Sujata pumped in the second goal with Remediana Noronha doing most of the damage scoring four goals.
Stessi Cardozo netted a brace with Valancia and Joizima adding their names to the scorer’s list.
In another match, Guardian Angel SC trounced Livval Sporting Association 10-0 at Nagoa panchayat ground.
Karen Estrocio scored five goals, Jossel Mascarenhas scored a brace, while Nevilla Colaco, Prissy Pereira and Aniela Barreto scored a goal each for Guardian Angel SC.
