Top seed of the tournament, Ritviz scored 8.5 points out of nine rounds with eight wins and a draw with Umang Kaisary in the last round. He received Rs 10,000 in prize money.
Gaurav Madkaikar of Ponda taluka and Umang Kaisary of Tiswadi taluka scored eight points each but due to better tie-break Gaurav finished second while Umang settled for the third position. They received Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively.
M Barath, Sudhakar Patkar, Ameya Audi and Adittee Prabhugaonkar won the fourth to seventh places respectively by scoring 7.5 points each.
The eighth to tenth places were bagged by Sahil Desai, Pranav Zantye and Akash Chodankar as they scored seven points each.
All together, a record of 328 participants took part which was the first rated tournament organized for Goan players only.
PWD Minister Suddin Dhawlikar was the chief guest and Ponda MLA Lau Mamladar was the guest of honour. Also present were Sagar Sakordekar, president of PTCA; Benny Fernandes, Vishnu Naik, Nilesh Polji, president of Ponda Friends Circle; Wilson Cruz, tournament director and Arvind Mhamal, chief arbiter.
