CALANGUTE: Sai Avtaar, Anjuna will take on Holy Cross, Arambol in the inaugural match of 1st Francisco and Matildinha Egipsy memorial inter-village football tournament organized by St Savio Sports Club, Calangute at Poriat ground, Calangute, on Monday.
St Anthony’s Sports Club Marna, Clube Sao Miguel de Taleigao, Candolim Sports Club, Saligao United, Valankani Sports Club Morjim, Sangolda Lightning, Saligao Sporting Club, Nagao Sporting Club, St Anthony’s Sports Club Colva, Xetrapal Sports Club Siolim, Nerul United, Penha de Franca, Goa Velha Sports Club and hosts St Savio Sports Club will also vie for the top honours.
The winners will receive Rs 40,000 while the runners-up will take home Rs 30,000.
The matches will kick off at 4.45 p.m.
