RAIA: Sai Avtar, Anjuna, advanced to the semi-finals after defeating SCC Loutolim 1-0 in the 34th All-Goa St Anne’s Inter-Village Festival Soccer Tournament 2024, organised by Ponda Footballers, held at Animal Husbandry ground, at Curti-Ponda.
Dadaphir Adur scored the decisive goal in the dying minutes of the match against SCC Loutolim. Anjuna dominated the game, with Jelroy’s 30-yard shot nearly scoring in the 8th minute, only to be punched out by the SCC Loutolim keeper. Raju of Anjuna missed a close-range shot, blasting it over the bar. In the second half, Dinesh’s free-kick hit the crossbar. In the final moments of the match, Adur evaded two defenders and chipped the ball past the keeper from a tight angle to score.

Dadaphir Adur was presented man-of-the-match award by ex-player Martin Pirez. Earlier, Dr Ketan Bhatikar inaugurated the tournament.
