MAPUSA: Hosts SAI Veterans beat Candolim Veterans to enter the final of the 1st All Goa SAI Veterans football tournament organised by SAI Veterans Football Association, at Duler Stadium, on Sunday.
Both teams dished out excellent football where both the goalkeepers came out with splendid saves. Anand Adkankar was outstanding for SAI veterans while Nelson Fernandes was too good for Candolim Veterans. The match was a stalemate as both teams could not score.
In the resultant tie-breaker SAI proved to be better shooters.
SAI Veterans will now meet Bardez Veterans in the final on July 29.
