VARCA: Sao Jose de Areal got the better of Varca SC 5-2 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the Varca Panchayat Cup, organised by Varca Sports Club, at Varca SC ground, on Sunday.
Varca SC netted the first goal through Nash Pereira in the16th minute. Areal in the second half equalised through Alvito Moura in the 45th minute.
Both teams failed to find the match-winner in the regulation time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Sao Jose de Areal scored through Aggio Antao, Monty Valadares, Vishal Fernandes and Joseph Monteiro while only Xavier Da Silva scored for Varca SC.
