RACHOL: Ex-Seminarians held Rachol Seminarians to a 3-3 draw, at the Patriarchal Seminary of Rachol, recently.
The Rachol Seminarians took a lead soon after the start through Sanford Rodrigues.  Snyter Pereira and Calburn Fernandes extended the lead to make it 3-0. Although, it seemed to be a one-sided affair, the ex-seminarians did not lose their calm and went all-out guns blazing. Their efforts bore fruit when Samson found the net with a skilful placement in the dying minutes of the first half.
Post resumption, the ex-seminarians began the 2nd half with renewed vigour and tactful display of football. However, their efforts were thwarted by the seminary goalkeeper, Jollyson Fernandes who stood tall under the bar. While the first half belonged to the seminarians, the second half was scripted by the ex-seminarians where Samson completed his hat-trick in style. With opportunities fluctuating at both ends, the match ended in a 3-3 draw.
The match provided an excellent occasion for the ex-seminarians to rekindle some nostalgic memories of their Alma-Mater. They expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the Rachol Seminary Rector and community for this memorable event.
