PANJIM: India’s No. 2 Shantesh Mapsekar will clash with his old rival Nagesh Verekar who is ranked 3rd in India, in the sub junior boys final, at the Adv Madhav Rao State Table Tennis Championship, organised by Goa Table Tennis Association in collaboration with the Sports Authority of Goa, at Indoor Stadium, Campal.
In sub junior boys semi-finals, Shantesh beat Aarav Aiyar and Nagesh accounted for Jayz Gomes.
In the cadets boys section, Shantesh will meet Aarav Aiyar and in Girls section Sneha Mesta will meet Simran Kubal.
The sub junior girls section will witness a keen contest between Aditi Chodankar and Taniya Patil. Taniya Patil will also clash with Prutha Parrikar in junior girls finals. The ladies final will be played between Mallika Gogoi and Prutha Parrikar.
The finals are scheduled to start at 4 p.m. at Indoor stadium, Campal on November 22.
