Sheral recently captained the Indian team at the LG Cup 2014 International Women’s Baseball tournament held in Seoul, South Korea.
Sharing on the importance of her position, Sheral says, “I play a catcher which is the main person who supports the pitcher and controls the team because the catcher is a person who can see the full diamond i.e. the baseball ground.”
Sheral has made her mark in baseball but believes working even harder to achieve higher goals. She was bestowed four best all-rounder trophies, once at the 22nd junior National Baseball in Kolkata 2010 and in the same year at the 56th National School Games in Goa, at the Junior Baseball National at Bhusawal in 2011 and at the 20th Sub-junior Baseball Nationals in 2010 in Goa
Sheral dedicates two and a half hours every day for practice and travels all the way from Nerul to the Nehru Stadium at Fatorda one month prior to the nationals. “We do not have a baseball stadium in India. If I had a wish to make on women’s day it would be to get a stadium for baseball in Goa where we can play the game whenever we want,” concluded Sheral.
