SJ Areal pip UC Benaulim

PANJIM: Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club edge past United Club of Benaulim 1-0 in 11th Rosary Cup all-Goa inter-village football tournament, organized by Rosary Youth Club Zorivaddo in memory of Anthony Rodrigues, at Rosary ground, Zoriwaddo-Davorlim, on Sunday.

In the 15th minute, Sao Jose de Areal scored through Marianho Rebello.
Post resumption, United Club of Benaulim tried their best and could have scored the equaliser in the 55th minute through Xamaro Rodrigues but the latter’s shot was saved by rival custodian Luis Dias.
Sao Jose de Areal Sport Club moved to the quarter-finals with this victory.
