Aquatics championships at Ponda
PONDA: The 25th sub-junior and junior State Aquatic Championships organized by Goa Swimming Association and Ponda Swimmers will be held on June 1 to 2 at DSYA swimming pool, Ponda.
Around 155 contestants from the under-8 to under-17 categories (boys and girls) will participate in the championship.
The pool will be available for warm-up from 6.30 a.m. onwards and the championship will begin at 8 a.m.
5-overs-cricket at Mala
PANJIM: The one-day13th 5-overs-cricket tournament organized by Action Cricketers of Panjim will be held on June 1 near Hegdewar school, Mala, Panjim from 10 a.m. Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and trophies will be awarded. Details may be obtained from Sanjay Devji on 9822144303 or 9637451333.
Futsal tourney in Margao
PANJIM: The Futsal Summer Slam 2 organized by Youth Futsal Academy started on Wednesday and will go upto June 1 at Chowgule College Tigers Ghol, Margao, from 5 to 7 p.m.
In all, 52 boys and three girls are taking taking part. The tournament is being conducted in two categories, Small Wonders and Super Kids. The four teams in the Small Wonders category are Angel Oak, Red Chief, Grizzly Giant and Black Hawk while the six teams in the Super Kids are The Sentinel, Bull Buck. Patriarch, Royal Palm, Gultless Goliath and Cannon Ball.
Each team will play a total of seven matches each.
Badminton tourney at Campal
PANJIM: The All-Goa Major Ranking Badminton Tournament organised by Shuttlers Club will be held from June 13 to 16 at indoor stadium, Campal, here.
The categories: Boys U-19 singles and doubles, men singles and doubles, veterans 45-plus
