St Anthony SC bow out

MARGAO: Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim got the better of St Anthony Sports Club, Colva 4-1 to move into the semi-finals of the XIV CRC Chinchinim-Deussua Panchayat Cup Football tournament, at Chinchinim church ground, on Sunday.

In the first half, Cavelossim took the lead through Raju Cardoza’s grounder off an assist by Crisbon Estebeiro.

Thereafter, St Anthony SC equalized through Jovisco Fernandes’ deft placement off a supply by Romario Fernandes.

Crossing over, Cavelossim made it 2-1 through Crisbon Estebeiro while Valerio Fernandes scored the third and Noel D’Cruz rounded off the tally.
