MARGAO: Loyola High School, Margao, Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda and St Mary’s High School, Varca registered victories in the Salcete Taluka Under 17 inter school football tournament organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Manora ground ,Raia on Saturday .
In the first match, Loyola High School, Margao defeated St Francis Xavier’s High School, Macazana 2-1.
Carlton Rebello and Lenin D’Mello were the goal getters for Loyola High School while Austin Dias reduced the deficit.
In the second match, Our lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda blanked Government High School, Davorlim 3-0. Arron Colaco,Jaison Pinto and Cayen Fernandes scored for Rosary school.
St Mary’s High School, Varca overcame St Xavier’s Institute , Curtorim 1-0 . Rohit Haldankar scored the all important goal .
