Tannay Kerkar’s Hat-Trick Powers St Savio SC into Saligao Super Soccer 2025 Final

MAPUSA: St Savio Sports Club, Calangute, outplayed Sai Avtaar Sports Club, Anjuna, 5-1 to book their place in the final of Saligao Super Soccer 2025 organised by Saligao United, at Vagator ground, on Thursday.
The final will be played against Dunes Sports Club, Mandrem, which will be held on Sunday, October 12.
St Savio SC scored in the 5th minute as Pedro Gonsalves assisted his teammate Tannay Kerkar with a through pass to help him score his first goal of the match.
Five minutes later, Sai Avtaar SC gave a quick response as a cross from the right flank to Marroti Horizan whose header rebounded off the goal post but luckily Samuel D’Souza was in the right place at the right time to score the equaliser 1-1.
End to end stuff from both teams as Nigel Silveira of St Savio SC whose shot was put away by Sai Avtaar SC goalkeeper Soma Kalangutkar.
In the 23rd minute, Sai Avtaar SC’s Pavan Dhargalkar committed a foul at the edge of the penalty area awarding a free-kick to St Savio SC. Pedro scored directly as he netted in the top right corner leaving Soma with no chance to make the save.
At crossing ends, in the 42nd minute, Pedro with yet another through pass between the Sai Avtaar SC’s defenders as Tannay Kerkar netted his second of the match. Five minutes later, Tannay dribbling his way through from the right flank to score a superb goal from a narrow angle helping him complete his hat-trick. And lastly, Mervin D’Souza scored in the 55th minute to make the score line 5-1 in favour of St Savio SC.
