DAVORLIM: Strength Veterans beat Calangute Veterans 4-1 and moved into the semi-finals of the Strength Cup organised by Davorlim Dicarpali Sports Lovers at Davorlim Sports Club ground on Tuesday.
Strength Veterans Seby Faleiro was the star of the match with his dribbling and shooting power and a couple of assists to its teammates.
In the 3rd minute Strength Verterans’ Seby Faleiro after dribbling a couple of Calangute Veterans players took a power packed shot from the top of the 6 yard box which crashed into the Calangute net.
Later Seby sent a diagonal pass to Mario Rebello, who was prowling into Calangute box. Mariocollected the ball and shot into the Calangute net.
Andro netted the 3rd and 4th goal for Strength Verterans in the 48th and 68th minutes while Bibiano Fernandes of Calangute Veterans pulled a goal back in the 68th minute.
Strength Veterans will meet Chininchnim Veterans in the semi-final on November 26.
