CHINCHINIM: United Boys of Palolem edged past Curtorim Gymkhana 3-2 to move into the final of the CRC Chinchinim Cup, at CRC Chinchinim ground, on Wednesday.
It was Curtorim’s Myson Fernandes’ left footer which travelled into the Palolem net in the 20th minute to open the score-line.
Mackwil Fernandes doubled the lead for Curtorim with a brilliant shot off Milagres Fernandes’ connect in the 30th minute.
Palolem coach Sunny changed the game plan with Pralhad Velip and Glan D’Souza given the extra charge in midfield and the plan paid off as Palolem netted through Prahald Velip off a penalty kick in the 46th minute.
Three minutes later, Terence Lobo levelled terms for Palolem.
Later in the 55th minute, Yamunsab Pinjar scored the match-winner for Palolem.
United Boys of Palolem will now meet Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda in the final on October 13.
