PANJIM: Youth Club Manora thrashed Goa Velha Sports Club 7-0 in the Geno First Division League in association with Jhoncy Restaurant, Benaulim, at Artificial Turf, on Tuesday.
Manora YC managed to find the breakthrough early in the game as Albino Pereira scored past the Goa Velha SC keeper to make it 1-0.
Manora were awarded a spot kick after a foul on their striker Jesloy Moniz. Benson Fernades stepped up and sent the ball onto the top of the nets inflating their lead to 2-0 in the 45th minute.
Post resumption, Manora were determined enough to finish the game as early as possible and made a move in the 46 minute as Jaison Fenandes made no mistake to send the ball past the diving keeper.
Goa Velha’s defence crumbled as Manora scored yet another goal as Jaison Fernandes made a swift run through the flanks and sent in a perfect ball to Jesloy Moniz who tapped it in to make it 4-0.
Goa Velha barely had put themselves together before they were struck by yet another blow as Jesloy Moniz zoomed past the fumble Goa Velha defenders and dribbled past the keeper to net the fourth goal.
It was all over for the rivals as the goal count began with Jesloy Moniz netting his brace in the sixth goal for his side nutmegging the keeper.

In another match played at Ambelim ground, Velsao Sports and Cultural Club scored a narrow solitary goal victory over Cuncolim Union.
Velsao’s Savio Fernandes netted the goal as he slotted the ball home in the 68th minute.
