Young Boys of Patrocin top dashing soccer

Young Boys of Patrocin, Benaulim scored a thrilling 6-5 tie-breaker win over Ferrari Boys, Varca to emerge champions in the finals of Dashing Boys football tournament organised by Dashing Boys at Ileant ground, Benaulim on Sunday. The teams were tied 2-2 at the end of regulation time.
Patrocin found themselves down by an early goal, but staged a splendid rally which left Ferrari Boys gasping for breath.
Columb gave Varca an early lead but their joy was shortlived when Willy snatched the honours for Patrocin midway in the first half.
Changing over, Ferrari Boys took the lead through Elvis Fernandes.
Stung by the setback, Patrocin regrouped quickly and were rewarded when Caridade restored parity, late in the second half.
With the regulation period ending in a stalemate, the tie-breaker was applied and Patrocin Boys emerged champions.
Patrocin, were richer by Rs 10,000 while Ferrari Boys had to settle for Rs 8,000.
PWD Minister, Churchill Alemao was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.
