Benaulim scored early in match through Jaison Pereira, who collected the ball from Rody Fernandes and finished with a deft placement.
Soon, in the eighth minute, Carmona’s Neil D’Cruz came close to scoring but his fierce shot was blocked by the rival custodian. They missed another opportunity when Hasten Dias aimed straight in the arms of the rival goalkeeper. Crossing over, Benaulim dominated the proceedings as Jaison found Naliston D’Silva in an ideal position but the latter’s effort hit the crossbar.
Benaulim finally doubled their advantage in the 45th minute through Elvis Baretto off an assist from Jaison.
The third goal came in the 50th minute through the boots of Naliston D’Silva while Carmona pulled a goal back through Oruic Matos in the dying minutes.
