VASCO: Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida demanded that Urban Development Minister Milind Naik to be dropped from his ministry blaming Naik for the fiasco about the municipal ward reservation issue.
Alemida also claimed that minister Naik apparently have plans to contest from Vasco constituency. He although mentioned that he and his team are ready for the civil polls whether reservation is revoked or not.

BJP Rajya Sabha Memeber of Parliament Vinay Tendulkar evades from commenting on the brewing contention between Almedia and Naik saying he was back in Goa just two days ago and was unaware about the controversy surrounding the civil polls ward reservation.
Tendulkar however promised to solve the internal differences amongst Mormugao BJP legislators and work together to grow the party in the taluka.
Later, inaugurating the election office of the Vasco BJP mandal president Deepak Naik said that he is not worried about the ward reservation at all and his work in his ward has been happening since many years.
He went ahead and said that if at all his ward was suppose to get reserved for women, OBC, SC, ST etc then they would find an appropriate candidate and would contest.
