Vasco: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee vice president Sankalp Amonkar warns Urban Development minister Milind Naik to sort out the salary and other demands of the municipality workers and employees by Monday. Failing to this ultimatum, Amonkar had threatened to dump garbage waste before the house of Naik.
Amonkar pointed out that the municipality workers do hardwork and it is their right to get salary in time. Now that the council has dissolved and the administrator is running the municipality, it is the duty of the Urban Development Minister and other local legislators whose areas come in municipal limits should come and meet the workers which they have not done, he said.
Amonkar said that since last four to five days due to workers strike the garbage is piling up and foul smell is spreading everywhere. If the waste is not cleared by Monday then he will dump waste garbage before UD minister’s house to make him understand what people are going through.
