CURCHOREM: Sanguem BJP block president Suresh Kepekar has threatened to resign if sitting Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar is denied ticket.
Addressing the press in Curchorem, Kepekar said that if party denied ticket to Tawadkar, it would affect neighbouring constituencies such as Sanguem and Quepem.
“Tawadkar has carried out a lot of developmental works and if he did not get ticket, we will not hesitate to revolt,” Kepekar said.
On his part, Vice-President Sadanand Gaude said that the cadre would stop working for the party if BJP delayed giving ticket to Tawadkar. He said that Sanguem, Quepem and Canacona are ST dominated constituencies.
