Goa Congress has warned that if CM Pramod Sawant does not announce the government’s position on the investigation into the ‘Cash for Govt Jobs’ scam by the retired justices’ commission by Monday, then a strong movement will be launched in the villages of the state against the scam.
It has been repeatedly made clear from the viral videos, audios and their records that the women arrested in this scam and their associates are directly related to the BJP. In such a situation, the Congress has raised the question of why the Chief Minister is still not saying anything to the opposition’s demand to set up an independent commission to investigate the scam.
The Congress has also alleged that the Chief Minister and his associates are playing with the future of the unemployed youth of Goa by supporting corruption.
On the occasion of the 135th birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the Congress strongly criticized the Chief Minister for the links with the BJP of the agents arrested so far in the ‘Cash for Govt Jobs’ scam.
The Congress has given the Chief Minister an ultimatum by Monday to announce the government’s position on the opposition’s demand that an independent commission be appointed to investigate this huge scam. If CM does not take steps in this regard, Congress has warned that a big agitation will be launched against this scam from next week by going door to door in the state.
