MAPUSA: BAFF managed to edge past Dunes SC by 2-1 margin in the Goveia Cup organised by YSC Colvale at Colvale Church ground, on Thursday.
BAFF made early inroads in the 4th and 7th minute but failed to score with Shaheen ballooning over while Dunes custodian Pratik Sawant denying Yash of BAFF.
In the 15th minute, Dunes SC went ahead with Sanmesh Sawant scored off Reniel D’Mello lay off. (0-1)
On resumption of play, in the 40th minute, BAFF equalised through a blistering left footer by Sanket Pal beating Dunes goalkeeper hands down. (1-1)
BAFF went 2-1 ahead through a blistering shot from Sanket Pal who completed his brace. The player-of-the-match was awarded to Raju Abhigeri of BAFF by Santan Ferrao.
