PONDA: Few days after a woman impersonating as PSI looted a Ponda jeweller, another person posing as a health officer entered a house at Nagamasjid-Curti and stole gold jewellery worth Rs 6.5 lakh.
In the first case, the police arrested the woman for impersonating as PSI and her father from Sattari.
According to Ponda Police, the second incident took place on Wednesday when an unknown lady posing as health officer entered a house at Nagamasjid-Curti and asked the woman in house for some documents.
As the woman along with child went to the bedroom, the imposter locked the door. She also locked the woman’s sister-in-law who had just gone to the washroom at that time. After locking them, the imposter fled with the gold jewellery.
The woman later filed a police complaint.
Recently, eight shops were robbed in Shiroda. However, the police managed to arrest a local in this connection.
