Food festivals in rural Goa would boost tourism: Shripad Naik

Organising cultural programmes like food festival in rural
Goa would boost the State tourism industry, stated Union Minister Shripad Naik
while inaugurating the Food Festival at Morjim in the presence of local MLA Jit
Arolkar, Morjim District Panchayat member Satish Shetgaonkar. The three-day
food festival was organised by the Tourism department in the rural area instead
of the city. The Union Minister stated that the Central, as well as State
government, are keen on promoting tourism and that he would see to it that both
governments will always support such food festivals in the rural and coastal
areas.
